Camping village Laghi di Lamar
SENSORY TRAVEL IN THE MIDDLE OF SCIENCE

The MUSE is a special place where everyone can get in touch with the world of research and thereby cultivate the scientific curiosity and the pleasure of knowledge. The building’s shape, metaphor of the mountain, sets and underlines the top-downwards direction of the permanent exhibition. Once they have entered the building, visitors will experience a full sensorial journey: they can feel the cold air, touch the ice, walk in a forest, observe strange insects or stare into the eyes of a Neanderthal. They can also extract DNA, interview a researcher working in the labs open to the public, find the answers to their questions by simply touching a screen, listen to the sound of the mountains, look at a dinosaur footprint, smell the scent of trees, look at the other side of the world, play with a stuffed animal, understand the greenhouse effect, build objects, print out a 3D project, watch the passing of cosmic rays. In addition to this vertical route of the exhibition that presents the natural dimension of the Alpine territory, there is also a horizontal route that creates a dialogue between Alpine world and the rest of the world, local awareness and global commitment, between preservation of nature and science and technology for sustainable development.
